Weekend Getaway

This past weekend, Marc and I took a short trip up to Indiana and Ethan spent some time with Gram and Meme.  A great time was had by all!!

We arrived in Indiana LATE Friday night to meet Marc's cousin Jason and his girlfriend Jen.  Saturday we headed out to Bloomington for a party hosted by Jen's parents and some friends.  On the way there, we made a quick stop in downtown Bloomington to surprise my friend, Felicia.  She moved from Georgia a few months back and I haven't seen her since.  I got together with her boyfriend (also named Marc) and we surprised her at a restaurant called Opie Taylor's.  It was so great to see her again!!

After lunch, we headed out to the Pachynski's property.  Jen's parents share 70 acres with two other couples and it is some of the most beautiful land I've seen.

Jen's dad, Dan, and the two other guys on the property, Tom and Larry, are in a band...hence the name Band Camp.  Each year, they host the "Fall Ball" and a few bands, including their own, play.  I had forgotten how much I enjoy live music, especially local bands.  Dan's bank, Another Fine Mess, closed the show and they were awesome!!

While we were in Indiana, Ethan spent Saturday and part of Sunday with Gram and the rest of our long weekend with Meme, Casey, Jacob, and Uncle Mike.

When Ethan was with Meme, they went to Jacob's baseball game and it was so cold, they ended up watching the game from the car!

We all had such a great time this weekend.  It was easy for Marc and I to relax knowing that Ethan was in such good hand!
